Scope and Contents

This series contains materials focused on preserving the history of manongs along the Central Coast, collected and created by Bing. This is made up of photographs, old newspaper clippings from various news outlets, interviews with manongs, and information about the Pismo Beach mural project. The mural project was created to honor the presence of the Philippine Islands Market, a cornerstone to the local Filipino community from the mid to late 1900's.

Manong contributions refer to, but are not limited to, community building, local historical significance, and agricultural labor.
