Scope and Contents From the Collection:

The Presidio Neighborhood Photograph Collection contains images gathered by the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation during research and activities conducted in support of the reconstruction of the Santa Barbara Presidio.

The collection contains a wide variety of image formats taken by many photographers over the course of than 150 years.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of one folder of correspondence, notes, minutes and other miscellaneous publications related to Pearl Chase, several activities of the Plans and Planting Committee of the Community Arts Association of Santa Barbara, and Mrs. Forsyth's role as a member of the committee. Abstract

This collection consists of papers gathered by Sue Higman in her roles as board member and officer of several local Santa Barbara organizations, her correspondence on environmental issues, and papers related to the Early Mission Music Program.

Abstract

The Paul Mills papers document civic and preservation activities conducted while Mills was director of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art and served on the board of the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation. Most notable was his work on the restoration of Casa de la Guerra, the design of the Presidio Chapel burial tiles, the Flags Project and the statue of King Carlos III.

Abstract

The Pearl Chase Collection includes documents, correspondence, and photographs relating primarily to her activities with El Cuartel, El Presidio, the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation, historic preservation in Santa Barbara County, and includes a collection of her personal notes and papers relating to her broader philanthropic work.

The inactive Institutional Records of the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation have been collected together and described in two batches:

The first major batch of records includes 32 boxes of institutional records documented under accession number 2012.06.

The second major batch of records includes approximately 22 boxes of institutional records documented under accession number 2019.326.
