Biography

Mary Triplett Ayers, a member of the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation, is a rancher, teacher, genealogist, and historian. She is a descendant of presidio soldiers Jose Manuel Valenzuela, Jose Ignacio Valenzuela, Jose Rosalino Fernandez, and Jose Maria Canedo. She lives on a ranch near Santa Paula, Ventura County, and teaches fourth grade at Briggs School.
