Biography
A resident of Santa Barbara since 1969, Michael Hardwick was an accounting systems analyst for the County for ten years. A graduate of UCSB he worked with the late Father Maynard Geiger OFM, on Mission projects and has been a Presidio volunteer for many years.
For many years, the Volunteers, dressed in authentic reproduction military costumes created by the Russall A. Ruiz family, marched in the Trust's parade entries and performed flag raisings at the Presidio.
Mr. Hardwick was secretary of Los Soldados del Real Presidio de Santa Barbara and was a member of the Trust's board of trustees starting in 1982 and was chairman of the Descendants/Genealogy Committee.
