Biography

REED, Norman Hull (1848-1917), early photographer who lived and worked in Santa Barbara. Reed photographed various locations on Santa Cruz Island before the turn of the century. His photographs appeared in Sunset Magazine in 1905.



Reed married Isabel S. Rugg (1851-1932) in 1875, and they had children:



Fanny Reed (b. 1876)

Lewis E. Reed (b. 1878)

Winifield N. Reed (b. 1880)

Reed died on November 17, 1917 and is interred in Santa Barbara Cemetery (Ridge Lot 052 Quadrant E 1/2).
