Content Description From the Collection:

Three archives boxes containing thirty years of weekly local history columns written by Mrs. Rouse for the Santa Barbara News-Press newspaper, approximately 1,500 articles. A fourth archives box contains indexes to the columns, autobiographical notes, a selection of columns on the Riviera district where Mrs. Rouse lived, and working notes and drafts of columns.

Scope and Contents From the Sub-Group: This sub-group contains records related to SBTHP's acquisition of property for El Presidio State Historic Park, as well as additional acquisitions in the Presidio neighborhood. The sub-group is made up of a growing list of series, as new records for Trust-owned buildings are added to the archives.
